Two Congregations, One Church
9am Traditional Service and
10:15am Coffee and Chat (this is an important part of our Fellowship) followed by
10:30am Family Service
Why two services?
We recognise that as a fast-growing community we have people who find it helpful to worship God in differing styles. Some have come from churches that are more traditional and others who have come from a church that have more modern services.
Either way we think it is important that we are coming together to worship God and to hear God’s word (the bible) read to us, learning from it and understanding how we can apply it to our lives (this is what will be consistent in both services).
Which One can I go to?
We don’t limit the number of people coming to our church so you are welcome to both services to see which one you find more helpful.
Both congregations aim to give you a warm welcome and there is an opportunity to intermingle as we have coffee after the 9am and before the 10am services.
So what is the 9am service like?
This normally involves the Book of Common Prayer (sometimes Common Worship)with two or three hymns sung, two bible readings (one from the Gospel), Prayers, communion and a sermon and a time to catch up over a coffee after the service
This service is mostly led by one of the members of the clergy team.
What is the 10:30am Service like?
We start with coffee at 10:15am and a chance to catch up, The service will have a structure outlined in common worship, but will vary from week to week, There will be a variety of songs sung, at least one Bible reading , Prayers, Interviews, Drama or an interactive all age slot, sermon and occasionally we will have communion. At this service there is a Sunday School
This service will be led by various members of our ministry team.
